Our headspace vials are manufactured from Type I borosilicate glass for durability, heat resistance and low extraction. Available in either clear glass or amber glass for light sensitive samples. The vial's wide opening allow for samples to be easily added and all 20mL headspace vials are available with a marking spot, with or without graduations.
Our rounded bottom vials, designed for high pressure strength during the heating process, or flat bottom vials, are available in 6mL, 10mL, 20mL, and 27mL capacities, in 20mm crimp or 18mm screw thread. When used in equipment with magnets, headspace vials with rounded bottoms slide more easily into heating blocks. The crimp top vials are offered with a beveled top or a flat top. The flat top crimp finish has more surface area providing a tighter seal when the vial is crimped.

The SPME vials with a thicker lip are available in 10mL and 20mL vial capacities. The thicker lip maintains a tighter seal. For SPME applications, a 20mm aluminum seal with a thin septum would be ideal in order to extend the life of the needle.
